Sue Countiss
Washington State Director,
Experiencer Resource Team
Sue is the Washington Mutual UFO Network State Director and a Field Investigator, as well as a member of MUFON's Experiencer Resource Team (ERT), a group of 'Experiencers’, those who suspect they may have experienced a close encounter with a UFO/UAP or an abduction.
As a physical scientist, Sue worked in Radiation Safety for 27 years. She was a member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists from 1982 until her retirement, working in both the Nevada Argon National Laboratory and New Mexico Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) site.
Sue joined MUFON in 2012, and became a Field Investigator in Las Vegas, NV, in 2017. Sue was appointed Washington State Director of MUFON in 2023.

Dan Nims
Chief Investigator,
Experiencer Resource Team
Dan is retired from the US Air Force where he was a fighter pilot and test pilot. He became Director of Test for the Air Force’s F-22 program and Director of Test Resources prior to retiring.
He began his retirement managing a small business in Walla Walla, and is now re-retired. He has been a member of MUFON since 2017, and Chief Investigator for Washington State since 2018.
Dr. Pam Murray

Dr. Pam Murray is an author, speaker and life coach. She has written five books and hundreds of articles. She has travelled the world teaching and speaking. For seven years she hosted a television interview show, “Ask Dr. Pam About Personal Empowerment”. Some of her guests were Experiencers, which piqued her interest in the subject of UFO’s and UAP’s. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and a Master’s and Doctorate in Divinity and Metaphysics.
Pam is now the Assistant State Director of MUFON in Washington State, and is on the state’s Experiencer Resource Team.
Jeff Kindle

Jeff has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Central Washington University, and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology through Central Washington University.
During his 20 years as a public education teacher, Jeff developed a computer lab for students with learning disabilities to identify their individual alternative learning styles, as well as a means to succeed in their high school classes.
Jeff has spent 10 years as the athletic activity administrator for a public high school, and branch manager for the Nike Team facilitating contracts for high schools and colleges.
Jeff is an avid mountain biker, hiker, and fly fisher in high mountain lakes.
He notes, "I have always had an interest in the unexplained in our world".
Kathleen Wyer

Kathleen joined MUFON in 2014. Her passions are rock art, fossils, archeology, and studying and photographing ancient sites. "There is a theme in the ancient patterns from all over the world" is her hypothesis and current area of study.
She has a Master’s Degree in Education and Communication, and spent 28 years working as a Project Manager in multiple agencies installing and training large scale information technology systems for the State of Washington.
Kathleen is currently a State Section Director for MUFON’s Washington State Chapter, an Experiencer Resource Team member, and Media Production Manager for MUFONWA.
Walt Beerman

Experiencer Resource Team
Walt Beerman is a State Section Director for MUFON’s Washington Chapter, and resides in the Seattle area. He joined MUFON in 2018 after retiring from a career in finance and real estate mortgage banking. Walt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of South Florida’s School of Business. Over his 50 year mortgage banking career, he spent 25 years as the owner of his own mortgage brokerage firm. Earlier in his career during the Cold War, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at an NSA site in Berlin.
Rebecca Brown

Rebecca Brown is originally from both Maine and Arizona and has lived in both the United States and New Zealand.
Rebecca's 20 year+ career includes work as a former Paralegal, Finance Director of the Yakima, Washington Airport, and attending to the operations and management of many small businesses. She has attended the University of Arizona, Yavapai Community College, and Jacksonville Community College.
She currently resides in Yakima with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Dr. Chris Chaffin

Dr. Chris Chaffin is originally from Southeast Idaho. He witnessed his first UFO sighting at his elementary school in Milwaukee, Oregon.
Chris attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Chris has lived in Spokane, Washington, since 1993 where he serves the people of Spokane and the Inland Northwest with their general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry needs. He can be contacted at www.chaffindentalcare.com.
When not in the office, Chris enjoys his family including both children and grandchildren along with snowboarding, photography, playing rock and pop music, as well as feeding his fascination with science and researching the unknown.
Dave Raappana

Dave is a former licensed Private Investigator for West Coast Investigators, and a retired GS 11 Federal Security/Force Protection Officer. Dave’s skills are in pursuing both criminal and civil cases, along with physical security inspections, investigations, and vetting for his clients in federal agencies and private business. These include, but are not limited to, ManTech/MSM Security Service LLC, and FBI-BICS programs.
Dave is a retired US Air Force Active/Reserve Master Sargent assigned to the Air Intelligence Agency at Lackland AFB, Texas. His last assignment was with intelligence shops in Guam and Fairchild AFB as the Special Security Officer/Administration Officer where he performed background investigations for military and contract personnel assigned to SCIF (Sensitive Compartmental Information Facility) requirements.
Retirement has provided Dave the opportunity to study archeology, cryptozoology and ufology.
Michael Massey

Mike became a MUFON Field Investigator in 2024. He is semi-retired, teaching Computer Networking courses at Bellingham Technical College. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Biology, with many years of wildlife rehabilitation and marathon kayaking behind him.
Sabrina Fletcher

Sabrina retired after 32 years of working at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an Illustrator, animator, photographer and videographer. Over that period, she was on a team doing dynamic research at their HEAF (High Explosive Application Facility).
Working at the lab included processing data and creating imagery, animations and videos for different research disciplines including Atmospheric (NARAC), Earth Sciences (E & ED), Lasers (NIF), Bio-Engineering Department (BED), the Technical Information Department (TID), and other facilities.
Sabrina was vice president of an all women’s motorcycle riding club called Curve Unit in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 18 years. The club raised money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and encouraged safe riding among the riding community both on the street and at Track Days through riding with instructors. She finds those experiences were foundational for working both with teams of people in research and reaching out to the community.
